Visa portals and university applications frequently allow a single upload for supporting evidence, so several separate PDFs have to become one.
You received documents separately
Bank statements, employment letters, and travel bookings usually arrive as individual PDFs from different places and need combining into the bundle the form expects.
You want a specific order
Putting the most important documents first makes a bundle easier for a case officer to read, which is worth doing even when order is not required.
How to do it properly

Collect every file first
Merging in one pass is easier than repeatedly merging a growing file, and avoids losing track of what is already included.

Arrange them in the order you want
The merged file follows the order shown exactly. Lead with whatever the form lists first.

Merge and check the page count
Confirm the total matches the sum of the originals — that is the quickest way to catch a file that failed to load.
If something goes wrong
One of my PDFs will not merge
It is probably password-protected or encrypted, which is common with bank statements. Open it, enter the password, and save an unprotected copy first.
The merged file is very large
Scanned PDFs contain full-resolution images. If the portal has a size cap, compress the images before they become PDFs.
Are my documents uploaded anywhere?
No. The merge happens entirely in your browser, which matters here more than for photos — these files often contain bank details and addresses.
